So I had a Yoga photo shoot yesterday but more about that on another day. For this, I needed to be all styled up so the gorgeous Dal from MakeUpByDeenDal suggested that I go glamorous yet subtle on my make-up. Now, Dee & Dal are popular for their wedding make up and I wondered how this combination of glam yet subtle could take effect , but I left that to the pro’s at hand.
I know Dal & her lovely mom from my local yoga class. They joined me on the Yoga weekend in Fujairah too which was so much fun. And that’s when she suggested I get some good hair & make up done especially if professional photos were being taken.
After some Yoga class appointment shuffling, I made it to Dal’s make-up studio in Al Barsha where the excitement unfolded 🙂
Because the twins Dee & Dal have worked at plenty of fashion photo shoots before, she was already prepared with the look I was going to get. The look appropriate for an instructor showcasing Yoga moves, yet glam enough. So it was all a breeze when I got to the studio. By the way, a foot licking service from her cutest dog Max is totally on house.
Carefully selected and prepped on her make-up bench were some of the animal cruelty-free products she swears by. Eye candy to me 🙂 From foundation to mascara to gel eye-liner (to get that perfect winged line) to the hurricane withstanding lipstick, it all came together gracefully. While Dal did my make-up, she patiently took me through each product that was being used, its application techniques and how it can enhance the natural beauty of a girl’s face and appearance when used in the right way. Yea, yea, we are beautiful on the outside as on the inside, but seriously have you tried using some mascara?
