So, the website is out and everyone’s talking about the photos 🙂 the comments are glowing, thanks everybody 🙂 I thought it was time to write about one of the main contributing factors. I had the absolute delight working with the ever-so-awesome Alessandro Sigismondi, a supportive husband & a father of a vibrant young son, apart from being a pearl in the worldwide Yoga community.
Since my website needed re-vamping, I looked around for a photographer specializing in Yoga or at least someone who has actually had some yoga background but couldn’t find anyone good at the time. I was so excited to hear that Alessandro was passing through Dubai towards India and was taking on some work here. I immediately contacted him and of course his schedule was already filling up quick. I managed to bag a slot with him on the very last day, a few hours before he was leaving to India.
That was the day when Dubai had a crazy humidity level. I was a bit nervous as to how this would affect our shots or worse still the poor guys camera. Luckily, Alessandro was well equipped and had quick solutions on that day and we shot with ease on the beach at 5 pm! He made me feel extremely comfortable and was encouraging while I attempted several poses on those rocks! 🙂 He was patient and at the same time warned me of the dimming natural light. I think his best quality is the ability to guide you through the pose and help you achieve the full expression of it, not just focusing merely on the shape. His skills and views are unlike others , and he brings out your best elements in each pose. His experience in videography and photography speaks volumes and the portfolio of several international yoga teachers stands testament to this fact. It is so important to have professionals specializing in a certain area to be able to deliver what a client really requires. And he did a fantastic job. There is another photographer that helped me out & I will talk about him another time 😉
